Moab, UT Rafting – Castle Valley

Colorado River-Moab Utah-Mild to Wild Rafting

More About This Trip

Parked along the lower Colorado River in southeastern Utah, Moab offers a plethora of spectacular white water rafting opportunities. Cooling splashes and calm swimming waters beautifully balance the dry desert heat. With trip options ranging from 1/2 to 6 days and varying rapid sizes, there is an experience for everyone.

Daily Rafting

The Moab Daily section of the river, also known as Castle Valley and Fisher Towers, begins approximately 25-30 miles upstream from Moab, depending on the trip length and water flow conditions.

The winding river corridor offers stunning views of the 12,000-foot La Sal Mountains, surrendering into the surrounding red rock rendered landscape. The journey features mild Class I and II whitewater, rolling through the likes of Onion Creek, Landslide, and Rocky Rapids.

Moab Rafting Single Day trip options include:

  •  ½ day meeting at 8:30 and 1:30
  • 1 day meeting at 8:30, lunch is included

Step up the level of adventure and control your own destiny in a single or double inflatable kayak. These fun-sized rubber river crafts amplify the whitewater experience, adding extra splashes and excitement. Inflatable kayaking trips depart and return with Moab white water rafting trips.

Multi Day Rafting

Want to prolong your fun river adventure and add in some catered camping? The Moab daily rafting section can be extended upstream or downstream, adding more rapids, sandy beaches, and deep canyon walls to your journey. Perfect for families and youth groups, the stretch is an ideal 2 or 3-day trip.

For the more adventurous, Cataract Canyon spans 99 miles of the Colorado river from Moab to Lake Powell through Canyonlands National Park. With more than 30 class III and IV rapids, the trip has the biggest and baddest whitewater around. Not to mention the park’s rich archeological history with many sites along the river bed. Cataract Canyon can be done in a 3,4,5, or 6 day trip depending on your preference for side hikes, archaeological stops, and time spent relaxing at camp.
