Mild to Wild offers a variety of equipment rentals for the independent buccaneer in all of us! We offer rentals in Durango, CO. Keep in mind you’ll be in charge of everything from determining the best puts-in and take-out, to transporting and pumping up the gear, to shuttling your own vehicle. If this sounds like too much work, we can do it for you— check out our guided trips here!

How To Use Inflatable Kayak, Paddle Board And Tube Rentals
Durango Rental Options
Single Person Tube Rental
Durango, CO
Reserve a single person river tube to float down the Lower Animas River. PFD included in the rental. $20 per day for single tube.
Stand-Up Paddle Board Rental
Durango, CO
Take the SUP to a calm section of the river, or to a mountain lake. Enjoy a fun new water activity and get a great core workout! SUP rental includes paddle, PFD, fins, & pump. $50 for full day.
Inflatable Kayak Rental
Durango, CO
Single or Double Inflatable Kayak rental. Includes paddles, PFD, Patch Kit, & Pump. $50 per day for single kayak. $95 per day for double kayaks.
Inflatable Canoe Rental

Two person inflatable canoe rental. Includes paddles, PFD, Patch Kit, & Pump. $95 per day.
Whitewater Helmet Rental

Reserve a whitewater helmet rental. $10.00 per day per helmet.
Type 5 PFD Rental

Reserve an individual type 5 PFD rental. $20.00 per day per PFD.
Neoprene Wetsuit Package
Durango, CO
Reserve a Neoprene wetsuit package, or just the wetsuit. Package includes Farmer John style wetsuit and wetsuit boots.
Pick Up & Return Times
Rental pick ups are scheduled on the hour between 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. All rentals must be returned by 5 PM. If not returned by this time, you will be charged a rental fee for the following day.
If you’re late to pick up your rental, you may overlap with a guided tour which means you’ll have to wait until those guests are helped. We stagger the pick-up times to avoid this, so try to be punctual to save yourself from time spent on deck!

Payments & Cancellations
Payment Options
Full payment is required at the time of reserving.
Card Authorization
At check out time, we authorize your credit card for the replacement cost of the rental item. Upon return of the item, we release the card authorization. If the rental item has damage, you will be charged the repair or replacement amount.
Fees
In addition to the listed cost, we collect an additional 9% for River and Land Access Fees (ie. Forest Service, BLM, City, Private Land Use).
Cancellation Policy
All rentals are final. There will be no refunds.
What to Wear & Bring
- Swimsuit/Quick drying clothing (avoid cotton because it stays the temperature of the water and keeps you cold)
- Rain jacket
- Water shoes or secure sandals with heel straps (no flip flops or crocs!)
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses with a strap
- Water bottle
- Camera with waterproof case

Important Considerations
Inflatable Kayaking Tips
- No open container of alcohol allowed on the river.
- No glass containers.
- Pack out all trash and dispose of it in the proper receptacle.
- Dogs must be on a leash onshore and dog waste must be cleaned up.
- Respect private property and do not trespass.
- Be polite and courteous to others on and near the river.
- When approaching anglers, move away to the opposite side of the river to pass.
- All rentals are final. There will not be any refunds.
