We took the Jeep tour of La Plata Canyon with Tim as our guide. We could Not have expected or had a better experience. Tim was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. his anecdotes, knowledge of the region, its history and geology, served to enhance the tour. He selected a few short hikes along the way where he was helpful with footholds and perfect picture locations. Tim even selected perfect spots where he took pictures of my wife and me. We did the Silverton Jeep Tour Package on 9/28/26 and it was a once in a lifetime experience. Our guide, Tim, took us to picturesque landscapes while giving us knowledge of the history surrounding the mountains of Silverton, all while it was raining I should say. Plus we were able to see and experience first hand snow falling at a higher altitude. We were given ample time to shop around town before departing on the train back to Durango. Only minor thing I would critique was that the roof cover, for the 6 seats in back, was not 99.9% waterproof because their were water drops falling from the cover while it was raining but it was no biggie for us and part of the adventure to be honest (we were given waterproof blankets to cover our bodies from the beginning). PLEASE BRING LAYERS AS MENTIONED ON THEIR WEBSITE (YOU'RE GOING TO NEED THEM)!

Fun trip!
Our half-day Silverton Jeep Tour was a great way to get up in the mountains and learn a whole lot about mining. Miles was a terrific guide. Very knowledgeable and made us feel completely safe on some hairpin curves. Highly recommend!

Wonderful tour of beautiful La Plata canyon
The jeep tour with Cat was fantastic. Cat shared stories of the La Plata canyon folks while pointing out the various highlights of the tour. 5 ⭐️’s for the entire crew at Mild to Wild! Every single employee was helpful, fun, and knowledgeable. I did several activities and each guide was FANTASTIC! ~Kayaking with FELIX was such a great experience. He knew exactly how to help us navigate the river in a kayak! He was so much fun, had such great knowledge of the river and the town, and made the trip extremely enjoyable! ~ I took a La Plata Canyon jeep tour with PAUL, who was also amazing ~ (and extra accommodating especially because I was late and he waited on me, thanks to Owen for contacting him on my behalf!) Paul knew how to navigate the roads up to the canyon impressively! He stopped for all of the scenery, gave great info on the history of the area, and took photos for myself and my group! What a fun experience with views I’ll never forget.~ River rafting with Anthony, aka ANT was top notch! The river was a little low but the guides, including Anthony, are impressive at navigation! Anthony has such great energy and enthusiasm, gives great instruction on what we need to do to power the raft, and made sure that everyone on the boat felt comfortable and had a great time! The entire crew at Mild to Wild makes your entire trip an exciting experience, from the ride to the river, to the time on the river, and the ride back home. A great day all the way around! A special shout out to TAZ for taking great photos so you can take memories home! I highly recommend booking with Mild to WIld for all of your adventures! We had a wonderful time on our half day Durango Jeep tour with Kat! She accommodated our two little kids and their interests, gave them a scavenger hunt of things to look for, and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got to see some exciting waterfalls and areas we wouldn’t have seen on our own. Thank you for a wonderful tour!
