Payments & Cancellations
Payment Plan
We start with a 50% deposit, and have the remaining 50% charged 30 days prior to trip. Trips reserved less than 30 days in advance require payment in full.
Please call for alternative payment arrangements.
Cancellation Policy
Receive a full refund with written notice 24 hours or more before the trip. Less notice, no refund.
Trip Change Option
Up to 12 hours prior to departure, trips can be rescheduled for a different day and/or time. The price of this change policy is 5% of the total trip cost. Upgrade only available at time of reservation and must be applied to each seat.
Fees
In addition to the listed trip cost, we collect an additional 9% for River and Land Access Fees (ie. Forest Service, BLM, City, Private Land Use).
Trip Departure Policy
We reserve the right to switch river/locations based on current conditions and a minimum number of participants. This trip requires 4 participants or paid seats to depart.

We offer morning and afternoon departures that meet right in the heart of historic Silverton. Our custom-converted, open-air vehicles provide 360-degree views of the jagged San Juan peaks, and we provide blankets to help maintain your comfort during the cooler temperatures found at the summits.
What is the minimum age for a Silverton Jeep tour?
The minimum age for our Silverton tours is 4 years old. These alpine routes involve steep grades and rocky, technical terrain that younger adventurers usually find quite thrilling!
Colorado law requires car seats or boosters for children under 8 years old. To support the logistical needs of your family, please bring the appropriate car seat or booster for your child to use in our tour vehicles.
What should I wear and bring on my Silverton Jeep tour?
Weather at 12,000 feet is unpredictable and can change in an instant! Even in the middle of summer, temperatures at the top of a pass can be significantly colder than in town. We recommend:
- Clothing: Dress in multiple layers, including a warm fleece or jacket and long pants.
- Footwear: Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or hiking boots are required for safely exploring the ruins of mining sites and ghost towns.
- Essentials: High SPF sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and a warm hat or beanie.
- Gear: A camera to capture the historic structures and a refillable water bottle (we provide water for refills).
