Inflatable White Water Kayaking
Inflatable kayaking is one of the fastest growing methods of recreational river navigation. These fun and squeaky rubber duck like crafts fill the class II and III waters across the mountain clad streams of Colorado and desert rivers of Utah.
Modern inflatable kayaks feature a comfortable sit on top self bailing design constructed from high quality inflatable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material and are manufactured as either a single or double kayak.
Single and double inflatable kayaks are for first time and experienced river runners alike. The lightweight self bailing construction makes them perfect for navigating mild rivers with class II & III rapids. Compared to hardshell kayaks they are much more forgiving, particularly for less experienced river goers. The inflatable design is ideal for making contact with river obstacles like rocks and waves. The smaller nature of the craft steps up the adventure level of your experience too. Rapids on the river will feel much bigger and more intense than in a raft.
Single and Double Inflatable Kayaks. What's the best choice?
Single Inflatable Kayak
For river runners who are looking to navigate the river in sole control of their water craft, a single inflatable kayak is an excellent choice.
Double Inflatable Kayak
If you’re looking to team up with a family member or friend in your inflatable kayaking experience, a double kayak may be the choice for you. Typically, the rider in the front will paddle for power while the rider in the back controls the direction of the kayak. Communication between paddling partners is essential.
