Adventure Bound River Expeditions
Welcome to the Adventure Bound Legacy page, now hosted by Mild to Wild Rafting and Jeep Tours!
Adventure Bound merged with Mild to Wild in 2017 to help carry on the legacy of the late Keith Counts, a respected pioneer of commercial river rafting and the founder of Adventure Bound in 1963.
Previous guests and friends of Adventure Bound can expect all the same fun on the same wonderful rivers the outfitter has run for 60 years. Over the past few years, most of what’s changed are some upgrades to older rafts and vehicles, while keeping what’s tried and true intact.
On any trip through Cataract, Desolation, Lodore or Yampa Canyon, you’ll still find plenty of treasures from Adventure Bound’s long past, from the inscriptions on handmade oars that have stood the test of time, to kitchen boxes you just can’t find like that anymore.
We are incredibly humbled to carry on 60+ years of heritage of running the most beautiful river canyons in the Colorado Plateau. We look forward to having you on our trips through Cataract Canyon, Desolation Canyon, Gates of Lodore, and the Yampa River!
From the Mild to Wild Family and Founders,
Alex and Molly Mickel
