More About This Trip

The Idaho Springs Zipline experience is designed as a half-day adventure that fits comfortably into busy vacation schedules or weekend getaways. The six-line course features progressively exciting challenges that help you build confidence throughout your adventure. The Adventure begins with orientation and safety instruction at the Idaho Springs outpost before riding in our open air custom converted zip trucks through the historic Idaho, Springs and then up the mountain to the first platform. A short 10-minute hike through pristine mountain forest brings you to the starting point.

Each of the six platforms offer different perspectives of the Idaho Springs area, from intimate forest views to expansive mountain panoramas that stretch for miles. The course design takes advantage of the natural topography to create exciting drops and varying speeds, ensuring that each line provides its own unique sensation and visual experience.

Highlights include the Jungle Bridge, a suspended hanging bridge, and the Bridge of Doom, a log cross feature that requires balance and concentration. The centerpiece of the Cliffside Zipline experience is the 600ft dual race line, where participants can zip side-by-side in friendly competition while taking in sweeping views of the valley below. This unique feature sets the Cliffside Zipline apart from other courses and creates memorable moments for families, friends, and groups looking to add some competitive excitement to their mountain adventure.

By The Moonlight

For those seeking a truly unique experience, the Starlight Zipline adventure offers the same thrilling course under the cover of darkness. Available during full moon periods, this evening adventure transforms the familiar mountain landscape into a mystical nighttime playground. Participants use headlamps and glowsticks to navigate the course guided by moonlight and stars.

The Starlight Zipline experience requires participants to be at least 10 years old and offers a more intimate atmosphere perfect for couples or groups. The evening timing provides relief from summer heat while offering the chance to experience the mountains’ peaceful nighttime ambiance.

Location, Location, Location

Unlike other zipline courses positioned right alongside busy highways, the Cliffside Zipline course is built into cliff faces and mature trees making it truly an immersive mountain experience. It is an ideal choice for visitors staying in Golden, Summit County, Boulder, or Winter Park, all within an hour’s drive and is a great choice for family outings and group adventures.

Idaho Springs itself offers additional attractions that can extend your mountain adventure beyond the zipline experience. Our personal favorite is rafting on Clear Creek, which boasts some of Colorado’s most famous whitewater. Trip options include a a Classic 2h 30m trip, an intermediate 2h 30m trip and an intermediate full day trip.
