The Salt River Rafting Express Full Day trip lets you tackle the whole 10 mile stretch of the 1 Day trip in a fraction of the time. Paddles in the water folks, we’re conquering this frothy section in just a few hours!

Enjoy churning up with the suds in this 2,000 foot deep canyon while enjoying 10 to 12 exciting Class III “wet and fun” rapids! This trip is ideal for those who like to sleep in, but also want to experience whitewater rafting in Arizona!

Meet at our Salt River Office at 10:00. Lunch is not included so arrive with lunch in your belly!

Check in, sign release forms, get dressed for the river! Wetsuits and Booties are provided.

Shuttle to river for safety orientation and rafting instructions.

Hit the river!

Tackle “Baptism,” “Island,” “Kiss and Tell,” “Bump and Grind,” “Grumman,” “Mother Rock,” “Overboard,” “Exhibition,” “Cibique,” “Three Way” and the exhilarating “Mescal Falls” rapids!

Take out and shuttle back along Apache Road 1. WARNING: the ride back can be as exhilarating as the rafting itself!

All guests are encouraged to paddle, but are not required to paddle. Boats will be set up as a paddle or oar boat based on the conditions at the time of the trip.

Just like the standard option, we use 15 foot self-bailing rafts with Oar or Paddle rig set up depending on water levels. You’ll just have less folks in the boat with you!

1/2 down, 1/2 charged 30 days prior to trip.
1/3 down with remaining balance charged in thirds.

We don’t want you to miss out on this trip so we’ll hold your spots, payment-free, for 24hrs while you make your final arrangements & prepare for payment.

Fees

In addition to the listed trip cost, we collect an additional 9% for River and Land Access Fees (ie. Forest Service, BLM, City, Private Land Use).

Cancellation Policy

Receive 90% refund with 48 hours notice to departure. Less notice, no refund.

Optional Upgraded 36 Hour Cancellation Policy

Receive a 100% refund up to 36 hours prior to trip departure. Up to 24 hours prior to departure trips can be rescheduled, or receive a Mild to Wild Gift Certificate for trip cost. Upgrade only available at time of reservation & must be applied to each seat.

We reserve the right to switch river/locations based on current conditions and a minimum number of participants. This trip requires 4 participants or paid seats to depart.

What To Wear On A Mountain Rafting Trip – Essential Rafting Attire

Important Considerations

The Salt River Canyon is a wilderness area. Thus, electricity, running water or cellular phone service is nada!
We can only communicate from our main office via Satellite communication to the Salt River guides, which means our communication is limited. Plan accordingly when traveling to the river. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
Wetsuits are included on all of our Salt River Trips. Wear your swimsuit to the river under your clothes.
Age limits may increase at high water levels. This will be communicated to you prior to your trip if it becomes an issue.
We have river goodies and souvenirs for sale! We are only running credit cards for the shop, but feel free to bring cash to tip your guide!
The meet location is about 50 miles from the nearest towns of Globe and Show Low, be sure to have enough gas to get there!
Expect the Salt River Canyon to be about 10 degrees cooler than Phoenix.
