About Arches National Park Tours

Experience the captivating history and breathtaking beauty of Arches National Park with our professionally guided tours. Soak up insights on short walks and quick drives throughout the park as towering red rock formations, sweeping desert landscapes, and fascinating geological wonders come to life.

Our local guides will take you directly to the park’s most iconic sights—no need to worry about parking, navigation, or missing a thing. You’ll explore must-see destinations like Balanced Rock, The Windows Area, Double Arch, Delicate Arch Viewpoint, Wolfe Ranch, Sand Dune Arch, and enjoy stunning panoramas of the La Sal Mountains.

Arches National Park was shaped by the powerful forces of ancient oceans, tectonic activity, and erosion, which gave rise to the unique red rock formations the park is famous for—more than 2,000 natural arches and hundreds of fins. The park’s rich history also includes evidence of Native American inhabitants, followed by the arrival of settlers and explorers, adding a layer of cultural depth to the landscape.

The ecology features a diverse desert environment, home to a variety of plants and animals. You’ll encounter desert plants such as prickly pear cactus, Utah juniper, single-leaf ash, and Stansbury’s cliffrose. These resilient plants thrive in the harsh conditions of the desert, each adapted to survive the intense heat and dry conditions.

Wildlife such as mule deer, coyotes, porcupines, desert cottontails, black-tailed jackrabbits, and bighorn sheep roam the area. Birdwatchers will spot species like Pinyon jays, scrub jays, and juniper titmice. The soil, rich with cryptobiotic life, supports the delicate balance of this desert ecosystem.

Whether you’re an early riser eager to catch the best morning light or prefer to watch the desert glow at sunset, we offer two daily departure times to make the most of your time in this otherworldly landscape. Each tour lasts approximately four hours from meet-up to return. The morning tour meets at our office location in Moab at 7:00 AM, while the sunset tour meets at 4:15 PM.
