About This Trip
Maybe you never knew this, but, a balanced breakfast comes with a side of fresh, morning alpine air. So start your day off right and jump on a morning jeep tour with us in La Plata Canyon! It’s good for you, after all.
This excursion is all about taking in the sites of 13,000 ft. peaks, roadside waterfalls, old mining cabins and wildlife.
From late June to early August, this is the perfect off-roading trail near Durango to see the most wildflowers. As for fall, the large aspen groves on this route turn to glittering gold in late September to early October.
On the way up, keep your eyes peeled for deer, marmot, fox, birds of prey, and if you’re lucky, a moose or bear.
Durango Jeep tours start at $99.00.

This was our second time with Mild to Wild….this time we brought family! Best wishes to Creel! His brother might be cool, but Creel is the coolest! 🫡😂 If you’re in the Durango area - book a tour with these folks. You won’t regret it!! Note: looked at my trip advisor post from July 2018. Back then it was Rio who was Ana amazing guide. Creel holds to our previous excellent experience.Posted on Google Shannon GleasonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. He went above and beyond to make sure our daughter had the best time. He took her down the falls, let her paddle the raft and made her feel included throughout the trip. She had an absolute blast, and his kindness and patience made the experience even more memorable for our family. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
