More About This Trip
The Mountaintop Zipline course is an unforgettable half-day adventure that perfectly combines the raw, natural beauty of the Colorado Rockies with the pure adrenaline of flying through a pristine forest canopy. Unlike other zipline courses positioned right alongside busy highways, our course is intricately integrated into a private mountainside, creating an entirely immersive alpine escape.
The experience is designed as a half-day adventure that fits comfortably into busy vacation schedules or weekend getaways. The 6-line course features progressively exciting challenges that help you build confidence as you go, ensuring a smiling, laughing experience for your entire group.
The adventure begins with an orientation, gear-up, and safety instruction at our Buena Vista outpost before you hop into our rugged, custom-converted zip trucks. You’ll take a scenic ride up the mountain to the starting point of your adventure. From there, each of the 6 platforms offers a completely different perspective of the Arkansas River Valley—stretching from intimate forest pathways to expansive, multi-mile mountain panoramas. The course design takes advantage of the natural hillside to create exciting drops, varying speeds, and a 900-foot dual racing finale that will leave everyone breathless.
Location, Location, Location
Situated in the picturesque town of Buena Vista, the Mountaintop Zipline course provides visitors with unmatched access to the high country. It is an ideal choice for travelers exploring the Arkansas River Valley, staying near the Sawatch Range, or taking a scenic day trip from neighboring mountain towns.
Buena Vista itself offers endless additional attractions to extend your day beyond the treetops. Our absolute personal favorite is pairing this tour with a world-class whitewater rafting trip down the Arkansas River through the legendary Browns Canyon. You can easily maximize your day with a Raft + Zipline package! Afterward, stroll through downtown Buena Vista to explore local restaurants and craft breweries, or head out to unwind at the nearby Cottonwood or Mount Princeton Hot Springs.

Our guide, Miles, was very knowledgeable. It was a great trip. Would give it 4.5 stars only because it wasn't a jeep and there were 11 people. We were all compatible, but that is not always the case with a group that large. Overall, the trip was great.Posted on Google![]()

Such an amazing trip today our tour guide miles was beyond amazing he answered every single one of my questions even though I had about 10,000. He was extremely knowledgeable and courteous and made our trip that much more memorable. I would highly recommend to anyone going to the area and I will definitely do another tour next time I visitPosted on Google![]()

I did the Mesa Verde Tour with lunch and Ann Rapp, our guide, was the best! She not only provided us with in-depth information, history and theories about the sites we were seeing, but also took a lot of time at some of the less “popular” dwellings so we could understand the varied communities. I can’t speak highly enough of our tour and I think this is an ideal way to experience a broader picture of Mesa Verde and its history.Posted on Google![]()

Tim paid close attention to our conversation on the way to the trail from Durango to Silverton Colorado and used what he learned about us to create the perfect off-roading experience. The route was exciting, scenic, and perfectly suited to our interests—a personal touch we truly appreciated. Even the snacks arrived at exactly the right moment! Tim made us feel comfortable, cared for, and completely immersed in the adventure. It was a memorable experience from start to finish, and we highly recommend both Tim and Mild to Wild!Posted on Google![]()
