‘We took the 2 hr rafting tour through Mild To Wild. It was fantastic! These people really know what they’re doing! They were very helpful and informative. Our tour guide was top notch! He gave excellent instructions; we never got stuck on a rock nor tipped over. If you’re planning on white water rafting, go with Mild To Wild; you won’t be sorry!’
“GREAT FUN!!!!!”

‘We did the half day Lower Animas Rafting trip and it was fantastic. The water levels were extremely low so there were not many fast rapids, but our guide, Josh, made it great fun none the less, and they even provide water guns so you can soak the people in the other boats or everyone else in your boat. The kids had a blast and I would highly recommend Mild to Wild to anyone!!’
“Great 1st Rafting Trip”

‘This was our first time rafting and we all enjoyed it. Our two boys, 6 and 8 years old, kept wanting to get in the water and swim. Keaton, our guide was wonderful. He let us surf the waves over and over as our boys loved doing this. The water level was a bit low, but made for a great first time trip with kids. Can’t wait to come back and do it again when the water levels are higher.’
“Vacation highlight”

‘We took our grandsons on their first river rafting trip with Mild to Wild on the Lower Animas the end of June. While the snow pack was down, the river flow remained brisk, without the boatmen making a heroic effort to navigate through the rocks. Watching the clear water slide over softly muted boulders, jumping out into the current, watching one of the guides do back flips off our boat, sailing through the rapids – all of it was wonderful. Our guide took every opportunity to give the passengers a taste of the cool water, alternating sides of the raft as we splashed through the rapids. On the final class 3, he maneuvered back to the fall twice, bring the river right into the raft! We loved it!
I found the company’s emphasis on safety reassuring and loved the hands-on approach from Molly and Mike to be rewarding – how often do you get to personally talk with the owners of such a busy company? Molly was an inspiration to all her employees as she has put many hours into building this great experience! This is evident in the respect that both employees and passengers have for her and Mike. I would have preferred a bit more of a challenge on the trip but we went with the kids – next time we’ll try out the kayaks! The company runs a number of the southwest’s major rivers and I’m anxious to try the Salt with them as well. The trip on the Animas is an excellent entry level for those who are new to river rafting or just looking for a casual float down a beautiful river!’
