Yampa River Rafting 4 Day Trip

Dinosaur National Monument

About This Trip

The Yampa River section through Dinosaur National Monument covers 72 miles, with 9 whitewater sections rippling along the way. A four day trip is an exceptional way to become acquainted with what this rare and astoundingly beautiful canyon has to offer.

While this trip comes with longer days on the water, the rapids and scenery prove to be a wonderful source of entertainment, with looming overhangs and beautiful geologic features around each bend.

Some of the off-river rendezvous can include the massive archeological site at Mantle’s Cave, historical inscriptions of Signature Cave, or the luscious side canyon of Jones Hole trail.

Each day promises for great company, delicious meals, impeccable scenery, thrilling rapids, and night skies you’ll be thinking about long after the trip ends. If you’re looking for western river trip that seldom ever experience, the Yampa River should be at the top of your list.

Yampa River 4-day trips start at $1299.

5days on the Yampa: Jordan, Lauren and Konrad were spectacular guides. They kept us fresh and enthused; they were skilled and sure with the boats and equally so in the kitchen + quick to offer insight re: the terrain. What a gorgeous 72 mi of canyon. We were lucky to share the trip with an easy going group of people with a range of interests. Can't say enough about this company, these guides, this trip.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day 3 night rafting trip with Jordan, Ben, Brandon and Conrad on the Green and Yampa rivers! The team rock! I know it is a lot of hard work but they made it look so easy. There were other kids on the trip who my son loved hanging out with. Definitely recommend to everyone!

I recently (06/2025) got back from an amazing multi-night trip down the Yampa River through Dinosaur National Monument! All of the guides: Brandon- trip leader, Levi- innate connection to the river, Ryan- spiritually in tune, Josie- super sweet, Caleb- endless fun facts, and Ben- best costume dresser were phenomenal! The guides' relaxed personalities really made the trip memorable and fun! Even when accidental swimmers were flailing around, the guides were so calm just plucking us from the water and went about their way as if nothing happened- this is exactly the reaction I needed!! It gave me the courage to hop back in the duckie after swimming a not-so-fun rapid! From the start, Mild2Wild made sure everything was a great fit for me (solo traveler) as I really wanted to kayak the whole 72 miles and then couldn’t decide between Gates of Lodore vs. Yampa. They steered me towards Yampa and I have no regrets! I paid extra to rent my own duckie for the whole trip, which was worth every penny and I was able to kayak ~70 miles of it! (Minus jumping into the group raft ~2 miles before the crazy Class IV Warm Springs Rapid and minus another 0.25 miles swimming Moonshine Rapid!) The optional hikes between camps and in-camp were amazing! The food was delicious and satisfying! A side note, that doesn’t always pan out and has nothing to do with the company, but this group’s dynamics were amazing! I felt like I was a mini part of almost every family/group! Thank you all for a safe and memorable time! P.S. I also did a fun duckie day trip on the Moab Daily this past spring break (during the Moab blackout)!

Wow - we were just blown away with our 4 day/3 night Yampa River Rafting trip. The organization was top notch and the guides were just outstanding. We felt so well taken care of by the whole crew -- Jackson was our group leader and he was exceptional - calm and so very knowledgeable and capable. Jordan is an absolute BOSS and Mild to Wild needs more awesome female guides like her! I loved that my daughter (age 9) got to see Jordan navigate the river like a pro. Brandon was also so knowledgeable about the geology/flora/fauna and even skillfully picked up a scorpion to show our kids. Evan, Josh & Ziggy were wonderful as well. It is very clear that Josh loves to cook great food to be enjoyed by others. The food was truly exceptional. We are so thankful for the experience - live your adventure! 🙂

We went with M2W to take 20 friends down the yampa river for my bachelor party, and oh boy did we choose Right!!!! The food was incredible (highlights include steak night, the hot dog eating contest, and breakfast brownie) We were very impressed by the professionalism and skill of our guides, their is a reason they call them pros people!!! Their intimate knowledge of the river and ability to come up with fun games like midnight corn dog kept us on our toes. Bomboclaat! Mild to Wild accomodated every single request, even finding 6 duckies at the last minute to make sure our crack team of paddlers found themselves on (and in) the water at any point. The guides often pointed out some fun water features for the duckiers to enjoy like suprise hole! Trip Leader Brandon made for an amazing captain , balanicing fun with our safety. He also had an impecable taste in music, introducing us to lovely songs like spanish monster mash! Que Horible! We will always be your loyal crew captain wetbeard. Guide Jordan had an incredible knowledge of the river and combined it with all time vibes. She also hand crochetted me a lovely garment that will be sure to keep me warm through upcoming cold nights. Guide Brandon (Don) always was there to entertain us around the camp fire with a story or scorpion hunt (check your shoes fools!!). Guide Josie navigated the rapids like a caffeinated otter with a GPS—fearless, fast, and somehow always smiling. Last but not least , guide Ryan was the protector of the ducky crew, dutifully pulling us out of the water time after time when we fell in (those things are trickier than you might think! especially when attempting the no paddle challenge) The ammenities on this trip were out of this world (2 groovers at each camp??? I dont even have 2 toilets at my dang house!) We tried our best to fill them both up but we didnt bring enough beans-- oh well, maybe next time. Games at camp were fun and engaging! We played blackjack and cup pong and polish horseshoes and kubb (screw that game though it’s way too complicated), and we cosplayed as horses! only complain i have is that I often got wet when in/around the river. No one warned me this could happen and the water was quite brisk. Maybe they could suggest to the parks service to increase the water tempertature/ put signs on the side of the river warning about this? At least it didnt rain. Thank you Mild to Wild and Brandon, Jordan, Brandon, Josie, and Ryan for an amazing trip ! 5/5 would book again in a heartbeat.

Had a sicko time on the Yampa with Mild to Wild. Our guides Branden, Jordan, Ryan, Brandon, and Josie absolutely crushed it. Beautiful river with an amazing group. None of them hooked up with my daughters either! 5/5

We had an incredible multi-day trip through the Yampa river, and our guides—Brandon, Ryan, Josie, Jordan, and Brandon—made it truly unforgettable. Their knowledge, humor, and care for both the river and the group created such a fun and safe experience. Huge thanks to each of them for their hard work, positive energy, and for sharing this beautiful place with us!

Wow. I was blown away by the amount of fun I had on the Yampa River with Mild to Wild. They brought the outdoor experience of a lifetime while focusing on safety, comfort, and fun. It’s tough managing a 20-person bachelor party group down the river! Tour guide leader Brandan, and guides Ryan, Jordan, Josie, and Brandon were all amazing leaders and knew exactly when to get serious and when to get fun. Very versatile and professional guides!
