Moab Rafting Afternoon 1/2 Day

Moab Rafting Afternoon 1/2 Day

Colorado River

About This Trip

The best way to beat the heat is to blanch it! When Moab’s midday temperatures start to climb, an afternoon float trip on the Colorado River is exactly where you want to be.

This is the best way to see Moab’s towering red rock walls and the scenic beauty of Castle Valley. Long, calm water sections allow time to relax and soak in the scenery, and a few Class II rapid sections provide a well-deserved splash to cool off.

Those looking to get a great workout and more splashes should consider opting for an inflatable kayak for this trip!

Afternoon 1/2 day trips on the Colorado River start at $79.00.

  • Perfect bucket list river trip and rated “Utah’s Best Family Rafting Trip”
  • Picturesque scenery of Moab’s red rocks
  • Fun & splashy class I-II rapids (a mild float with time to relax and swim)
  • Big sandy beaches
  • Wildlife: Birds of prey, big horned sheep, deer, cottontails
  • Fun and informative river guides
  • Time for games, swims, and relaxation

Important Considerations

Castle Valley Rafting on Colorado River - Moab, UT - Mild to Wild Rafting
  • Changing rooms and bathrooms are limited at our boatyard, so we encourage guests to come in their river getup beforehand!
  • We do not provide snacks on this trip, so bring some along in a small bag along with your water bottle if you think you’d like to have them!
  • Castle Valley is continuously being sculpted by wind, so expect these desert gales on your trip— particularly in the afternoon.
  • The rapids in Castle Valley are mild and interspersed between long flat-water sections. If you want level up on the adventure and exercise, consider choosing your own destiny in an inflatable kayak!
  • There are some logistics for the guides before and after your time on the water, so there’s some waiting involved. We appreciate your understanding in advance!
