Upon my first interview with Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Trail Tours, I could tell that this job was going to be interesting, to say the least! With 77 different trip options and the fact that I was currently in the middle of a move from Florida to my new home in Durango, Colorado, I thought I was in over my head. Not to mention the toughest interview question in the history of my job experience! But once I got myself calm and collected I knew I could do it and plunged feet first (safety first!) into life at a rafting outfitter!
There was no time to delay; we started the intense training on my first day. The knowledgeable owner, Molly, set me on a path towards becoming a great salesperson that offers excellent customer service. Since that first nerve-wrecking day, I have made it through a lot more training, not only on sales and customer service, but the different rivers that they run in Colorado, Arizona and Utah (who knew there could be so many options!) and the area that Mild to Wild operates in (also, the area around my new home!). I’m finally nearing the end of training and starting to take on the responsibilities of a full-fledged Trip Consultant.
Throughout this experience, not only have I already learned so many useful and helpful tips about sales, the adventures in the Southwest and the community that I have become a part of, but I have found the friendship and encouragement of everyone at the company to be very welcoming! I very much look forward to my future here at Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Trail Tours!
