Awesome Experience

By Mild to Wild   •   June 4, 2018

We had a wonderful trip! What a beautiful part of the country we able to explore.
Our guides were so helpful. We have a son with special needs and they were so accommodating. Our son had two seizures on the rafting trip. Johnny, our guide, helped out in every way that he could.
Our driver for the rafting trip, known by “hey you” was nice and shared information about what to expect and was a great driver.
Our Jeep tour, in Silverton, was also amazing. Miles and Marty, I believe, were our guides. Again, they made every effort to see that accomodations were made for our son. They used a full bench to hold his wheel chair. Our son is non-verbal, but warmed up to Miles right away.
The trip ended up being a little cool, because of cloud cover. Miles dug out four blankets for the kids. He stopped many different times and explained, in detail, what we were looking at.
We were dropped off and waited for the train to go back to Durango.
As far as the train ride, the thousands of positive reviews on the internet explain how I too enjoyed the ride.
Overall, Mild to Wild helped ustohave a great, first time, experience in Southwestern, Colorado.
The only thing that pained me was not being able to tip hundreds of dollars. We left a $40 tip and a $60 tip. I’m sure the guides are used to receiving more from groups our same size. We had six in our group.
The guides expressed their thanks for what we did give them.
