I had the opportunity to join a three day trip down the Ponderosa section of the Dolores. Given how rarely the river has enough water for commercial trips, it was a unique experience. The canyon was gorgeous and the rapids were really exciting. The other highlight of the trip was the guides: Sam, Mike and Zach. They were hard-working, thoughtful and professional the entire trip. It was clear that they really love what they do and that they’re extremely good at it. We went through some big rapids but I had complete faith in their abilities and experience. They made sure all of the guests on the trip were safe, comfortable, well-fed, warm and that we all had a lot of fun. M2W is lucky to have such skilled professionals working as part of their team.
