After reading Dolnick’s Down the Great Unknown book about John Wesley Powell’s 1869 trip, I was intrigued to raft the Lodore Canyon. Mild to Wild adventure delivered this experience. Guides were awesome. While keeping us out of trouble in this high water trip, they delivered plenty of splash experience. The canyon is breathtaking and then add the Yampa confluence, Whirlpool and Split Mountain Canyons, WOW! Meals were outstanding, never hungry and the bonus hikes and visit to the dinosaur quarry were scenic. We enjoyed every minute of the trip. Thanks
