We were originally booked to do the upper Animas but it got changed to the Piedra due to high water conditions. The orientation trip was a blast and all the guides were great. Don was especially helpful and took us to a coffee shop while we were waiting for the rest of the group to show up. There was confusion on the day of our trip and we ended up missing it, but the company was great and rescheduled us on a different day. Our trip was a lot of fun and full of adventure. Kyle’s oar snapped in half through first big rapid. He quickly switched it out and we headed for the second set of big rapids. We tore a hole in the bottom of the raft going through the second set of rapids and started losing air on half the boat. Kyle got us to the side and was able to repair the raft. The rest of the trip went without problems. Kyle and Orion showed us where hot springs were. They were awesome and very knowledgeable. Fun trip with great people. Thank you!
