Three days and two nights on the Colorado River full of natural beauty, adventure, relaxation with a knowledgeable enthusiastic group of guides. Christian, Vlad, Ryan and Brody made sure everyone was prepared and comfortable whether it was meal time or time to tackle the rapids in high water.
Not only was our crew professional and prepared, they were interesting and shared great stories, history and current events / challenges facing the river and Moab. They were passionate about what they do and shared personal stories that were meaningful.
All of the guides seemed to read our crew pretty well— allowing for a comfortable mix of conversation and quiet / alone time.
Despite being a first time rafter in high water conditions my son and I felt that we were in very capable hands. This proved true when a mishap led to a “quick” and perfectly executed engine swap just as we entered some of the biggest drops for Cataract Canyon. Kudos to Vlad, Christian , Ryan and Brody for a most memorable experience. My son was equally impressed, with the quick problem solving and great personalities character of the guides — as well as the food. ( Not very easy to impress a teenage boy).
Take this trip— Mild 2 Wild was very helpful when I realized I made a logistical mistake and needed to switch trips at the last minute. It was a great way to see the beauty of the Canyon and disconnect from phones /reconnect with my son.
