Our family of 8 (ages 11-68) were all newbies to rafting but our raft leader Hayden made us feel 100% safe and confident in our trip down the lower Animas. We could tell he was extremely knowledgeable not only about rafting but he also shared history about the area as we moved along the river. His co-lead who took the second boat (Zach I believe) also did a fantastic job. Another plus is they all had a great sense of humor. The bus driver (I didnt catch his name) that drove us from Silverton to Durango was also awesome. I am guessing he was a retired history teacher as our drive back was filled with history and facts about the area. Overall, great experience. We only wish the ride down the river was a little longer!
