My family comes down to Durango, Colorado every year to go on a white water rafting trip but this was our first time on the Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. It was the perfect day combining our ride on the train with a Colorado Jeep Tour. After the scenic shuttle up to Silverton, we took the Jeep Tour in the morning and visited a ghost town! The views were awesome and our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. After the Jeep Tour, we ate lunch in historic Silverton. A quaint, old mining town! Lastly, we took the train one-way back to Durango through the beautiful Animas River canyon! Thanks for the great day and a trip we won’t soon forget!
