Cancellation Policy

We know plans change… so we offer a lenient cancellation policy. With optional upgraded cancellation, receive a 100% refund up until 24hrs prior to trips excluding trips involving the train.

Fees

In addition to the listed trip cost, we collect an additional 8% for River and Land Access Fees (ie. Forest Service, BLM, City, Private Land Use).

Itinerary

Day 1 Itinerary (Bus/Train)

8:00 AM

Park at the Durango Train Station Parking Lot next to McDonalds at 209 W College Drive. Board the Mild to Wild Shuttle, sit back, relax, and enjoy the San Juan Skyway.

8:00 AM

Park at the Durango Train Station Parking Lot next to McDonalds at 209 W College Drive. Meet the Mild to Wild Shuttle in the Parking Lot. Look for the bench with Mild to Wild on it!

8:15 AM

Bus departs for Silverton.

15 minutes before departure

Board Narrow Gauge Railroad.

1:45, 2:30, or 3:00 PM

Depart for Durango.

4 hours later

Arrive back at the Durango Railroad Station.

Day 2 Itinerary (Lower Animas Rafting, 3 hours on the water/4.5 hours roundtrip)

8:00, 9:00, 10:00 AM, 1:30 PM (meet times may change late season)

Meet at Mild to Wild’s Main Office (50 Animas View Drive, Durango CO) to check in at your reserved time.

– About 30 minutes after check in, shuttle to the river for your safety orientation and rafting instructions.

– Hit the river!

– Tackle “Train Bridge Rapid”, “Baby Smelter” and the exciting Class III rapids at Santa Rita’s Whitewater Park.

– Stop at Santa Rita Park for access to the restroom facilities.

– Get back on the river and tackle “Santa Rita”, “Sawmill” and “Pinball” Rapids. (depending on flows)

– Take out and shuttle back to our office. You will arrive back to the office approx. 4.5 hours after your original check in time.
