Main Office in Durango, Colorado

  Our main office is the meeting point for: Lower Animas River, Upper Animas River, La Plata Canyon Jeep Trail Tours and Full Day Jeep Trail Tours.

Directions to Our Durango Office

Our office is located at 50 Animas Drive, which is located at the north end of Main Street in Durango. If you are coming from the downtown area or the south end of town you want to head north on Main Street. You will pass City Market and 32nd Street, go another 6 blocks and Animas View Drive will be on the right side of the road. We are diagonally across from the Hampton Inn. You will be able to see our building and buses from Main Street.

If you are coming from the north, head south on highway 550 towards Durango. When you get to Durango you will pass the Iron Horse Inn on the left, continue about another 1/2 mile and you will see Animas View Dr. on the left. We are the first building once you turn onto Animas View Dr.

Directions to Piedra River Meeting Place

The Piedra River store is located 40 miles east of Durango just before crossing the Piedra River and 20 miles west of Pagosa Springs, just after crossing the river. The store is also a gas station/post office on the north side of Highway 160.

San Miguel River Meeting Point

From Durango:

  • Take 160 West towards Mancos
  • Turn right on 184 West towards Dolores/Rico
  • Turn right on 145 towards Dolores
  • 145 will come to a T, take a left towards Placerville, stay on 145
  • Continue through Placerville
  • The road comes to another T, stay left on 145
  • About a mile up the road, Caddis Flats is on the left

From Cortez:

  • Take 145 North through Dolores towards Placerville
  • 145 will come to a T, take a left towards Placerville, stay on 145
  • Continue through Placerville
  • The road comes to another T, stay left on 145
  • About a mile up the road, Caddis Flats is on the left

From Ouray:

  • Take 550 North to Ridgeway
  • Turn Left on 62 West
  • 145 will come to a T, take a left towards Placerville, stay on 145
  • Continue through Placerville
  • The road comes to another T, stay left on 145
  • About a mile up the road, Caddis Flats is on the left

Colorado River Meeting Point in Moab, Utah

Directions to our Moab Office

For partial day trips Moab Adventure Center will pick you up at your place of lodging, or meet at Moab Adventure Center's office at:

For 2 & 3 day trips we will pick you up at your place of lodging. Please make sure that the Mild to Wild office has this information, or you have arranged a meeting point.

Salt River Meeting Point

Directions from Phoenix:
About 2.5 hr drive time. Take Highway 60 east (Superstition Highway) to Globe. Pass through Globe to the intersection of Highway 60 and 70. There is a traffic light here with a Taco Bell and Rebel Mart gas station on the right. Highway 60 turns left, heading north towards Show Low. Turn left and follow the Highway60/77 north for 41 miles to the Salt River Canyon Bridge. Cross over the bridge and turn left onto the dirt river access road. Follow the Mild to Wild signs to our check-in site and we will direct you where to park!

Directions from Tucson:
About 2.5 hr. drive time. Take Highway 77 north (Oracle Road) to Globe. Turn left at the intersection of Highways 77 and 70, heading to Globe. At the first traffic light turn right onto Highway 60/77 north to Show Low. There is a Taco Bell and Rebel Mart gas station on the left. Follow Highway 60/77 north for 41 miles to the Salt River Canyon Bridge. Cross over the bridge and turn left onto the dirt river access road.
