Trip Details:
Rock climbing in Durango is a great option for anyone looking for some high adventure! Perfect for those who possess little or no outdoor climbing experience, as well as those who do. Meet at the San Juan Adventure Guides Office at 8:30 AM, then, head out to X-Rock. Located in Durango, X-Rock is a great venue to learn the basics of rock climbing and have a lot of fun in the process. After a morning of climbing you will return to the San Juan Adventure Guides Office and have time to grab lunch on your own before meeting at Mild to Wild. The afternoon half-day rafting trip departs at 1:45 PM. Our experienced guides will go over a quick safety orientation before getting on the river. Then, you can learn some of the history of Durango as you splash through fun rapids including “Train Bridge Rapid,” “Baby Smelter” and Class III “Smelter”. We will stop half way for a riverside snack then get back on the water to finish up your rafting trip. We will, then, shuttle you back to the Mild to Wild Office where you can change back into dry clothes and check out the photos from your rafting adventure!
